Monroe Elementary was built in 1951. It has gone through several additions and remodels since then. In 2007 seven classrooms and new administrative offices were added.

Our current student enrollment is approximately 650 students. The current projections show our enrollment will continue to grow. Our teacher to student ratio is 1:24.  77% of our staff have a master’s degree or higher, 55% have reading minors and 33% have reading endorsements.

Senate-2S

Utah Senator Ralph Okerlund from Monroe sits in with the fourth grade class and teachers from Monroe Elementary School February 10 at the State Capitol Building in Salt Lake City.  The students took a field trip to participate in the Senate vote on Senate Bill 41 to change the state tree to the Quaking Aspen, a process in which the students have played an integral part.
